Dr Jim Bright, BA(Hons), PhD, FAPS

Dr Jim Bright is a Psychologist with over 29 years of experience working in the Australian context. Dr Bright was the proprietor of Bright and Associates, before establishing IWCA Pty Ltd in 2024. He has held full-time academic positions in the School of Psychology, UNSW, and as Professorial Fellow in Career Education and Development at Australian Catholic University. He is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society and Career Development Association of Australian. He is a Past National Chairperson of the APS College of Organisational Psychologists. He has supervised Doctoral (PhD and EdD) students theses on topics including Stress, Career Development, Leadership, and Psychometric Assessment and Work Performance. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles, 12 books including the Chaos Theory of Careers (Routledge), Stress: myth, theory and research (Pearson), as well as series of practical job hunting books based on his own and his student's psychological research including Resumes that Get Shortlisted, Brilliant CV and Job Hunting for Dummies. He continues to publish and present keynote addresses in Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA and Canada. He has over 24 years experience as a Medico Legal Assessor and has written over 2000 Vocational Capacity Assessments. He has provided testimony for Tribunals, District and Supreme Courts in NSW and ACT.
